Ghost Adventures

This show is complete and utter bullshit. Not only does it offend the living, it also offends those that have passed on. The "genius" idea the Travel Channel came up with is to get a couple of jocks together, armed with night vision cameras, send them to a haunted location and have them provoke spirits in a lame attempt to get something on tape. It's lame. The host and his cronies seem to still be living in their former high school football days.
Provoking spirits is NEVER recommended by any legit paranormal investigation team. Would you walk into a dentist's office asking the first person you see to hit you? How often do you provoke people in public? Same goes for the spiritual world around you. Sadly, even TAPS has had a few episodes where they provoke spirits, which the general public sees and copies. It's disrespectful to taunt someone that has passed on and this show is practically pissing on their graves. I recommend you stay clear of it and don't give it any ratings....they don't deserve it.

Rick Wood is one of my most favorite interviewers in the world of paranormal radio. Rick has a weekly podcast called Audiomartini He recently interviewed James Long, an exorcist that to me, seems pretty knowledgeable about the subject. I encourage all members and fans of our blog to listen to the interview here (click on the circle next to the word "Podcast"...they need to have a "Play" button!).

Nerds

I noticed this afternoon while driving around that ALL (present company included) paranormal investigators, or people interested in the paranormal, are NERDS! Dorks! Weirdos! Whatever you wanna call it...people interested in "paranormal" matters are (most often) introverted people most would consider dorks. Most people would avoid talking to a person interested in this field at any social engagement. Why is this? On the other side of the coin, most people interested in the paranormal have an "above average" knowledge of the world around them. They think outside the box most of the time. They read books and study when left to their own nerdy little world. Sure, they know little about how to act at dinner parties, but get them alone and they can't SHUT UP when talking! Think about this!! A good piece of evidence to my stated opinion here, is Facebook. Many people join our group via Facebook but we seldom hear from them. When one of us says, "hello" we never get a reception. Now, I'm not making fun of anyone here, before I start stepping on toes. I simply find it funny, and thought inspiring, how shy and quiet people involved in the paranormal are. Is there something deeper in their minds that troubles them? Maybe seeing something beyond the normal can humble a human being? I don't know. If YOU understand all of this psychology and personal behavior please, let me know. (get it? ;) )

Sincerely and humorously,
Michael

Austin is great

Austin turned out to be a wonderful trip. I had a really great time and met some awesome people. They're MUCH more into "paranormal meet ups" than around here. I'll comment more during our meeting. I assume we'll have one this month or early next month. Also, if you're following this blog via blogger checkout our websites!!

Poltergeist

Greetings Team! I'm currently in Austin visiting my brother. Getting out of Amarillo is, as always, an eye opening experience. I have met many people here that are above and beyond your average entrepreneur. And they're all YOUNGER than me?!! Last night in particular I met a young man that told me all about Austin's "paranormal" side. Many of them get together as an entire group (not investigating group) and talk about local haunts and "cases" they have experienced. I don't really have the time to go over all of this, but I'll post more soon. I wanted to let you know that this afternoon I am going to meet with a film crew that is interested in filming and making a television show/documentary similar to the ones we see on TV (I assume). Exciting times!! I'll write more soon. Hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful weekend!!

Take care,
Michael

IN SEARCH OF CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST

IN SEARCH OF CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST?
On October 31, 2008 a local paranormal group held a contest in which winners got to spend the night in a local seldom used dance hall. This group is of no affiliation with us or any professional paranormal group.
These people make a mockery of paranormal investigating when they associate this with local halloween haunted houses run by different organizations. This is nothing short of some people trying to get their pictures in the paper or maybe on tv.
These are they same type of people who think that if they have their photo taken with paranormal television celebrities that they get instant credibility.
What a Joke!
Now supposedly the building they investigate has a rumor of being haunted. But I am sure that they would know since it is one of the only places I have ever heard of them investigating. But seriously, claiming this place to be haunted is like claiming your bathroom toilet to be haunted.
If you think you may have a problem with some kind of paranormal occurance in your home , etc, it would be real scary to happen to get ahold of these people to help you.
This is not the first time these so called investigators have done this on halloween, nor do I imagine it will be the last.
Frankly the whole thing sounds like a freakin carnival attraction. But who knows, maybe they set up enough fishing string, soundtracks and smoke to make it seem like they found Casper the friendly Ghost.
