THE GHOST OF SANTA CLAUS

For over 100 years ago, the big jolly old fat man in a red suite, aka, Santa Claus, has been flying over the world every December 24th, dumping toys and other goodies on homes everywhere.

Since no one lives much over 100 years anymore, especially back in those days, then Santa must actually be a ghost. No wonder I never see him ! I stay up late at night, waiting in anticipation for this mystical magic man to show up, but somehow, I always miss him.

Occasionally every year during my all nighter on Christmas eve, I dose off. Seems that in this short period of time , the man called Saint Nick seems to know that and has made a fast dash in and out of my home.

This guy is truly paranormal!!!!! How can he do this? Kids wait for him, but no one ever sees him.

This year I'm setting up my infra red cameras, turning on all my recorders, using my emf meters, etc,, I am going to see if I can solve the mystery once and for all of how this guy manages to sneak in and out un-noticed.

Until my next report on the results of this investigation, Please have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the entire team at North West Texas Paranormal Investigators !

TAPS

OK, is it just me or has the TAPS team been using what I call the "Predator cam" a little too much recently? It seems their becoming more focused on using the K2 meter and the Predator cam as evidence instead of the more reliable tape recorders and regular night vision cameras. We know the Predator cam is one of the must unreliable pieces of equipment to use...they spoke of this the first couple of times they used it. Now, you never see them without it. OK, I won't hate on them too much. Some groups are lucky enough to have their picture taken with them. Maybe I'm just jealous? ;D

WELCOME HOME Tim!

I wanna be the first to welcome our dear team member (hell, maybe more like our co-co-founder?) Tim back! I'm glad you had a safe trip and look forward to catching up with you. Did you happen to go on any ghost tours while you were gone? We certainly have missed your smart ass ways...we should be having a meeting soon. Let's get together and talk about Roswell as well as some haunted places in New Mexico. Have a great weekend and welcome back my friend!

ROSWELL the Graceland of UFO Lovers

Roswell, the Graceland for all UFO enthusiasts, is definitely someplace everyone should check out once. But once is not enough. It is like Disneyland. One day just wont do. The whole town from light posts on main street shaped like alien heads, to grocery stores and more support the UFO theme. Truly a delight to go into the museum and spend hours reading all the discoveries and subsequent government attempts to cover up.

If you haven't been there but would like to go, perhaps we can work up a group trip.

Get in touch with us. Its only a few hours away Michael.

KING OF THE SQUIRRELS

If I were a squirrel , I would be king of them all with all the nut jobs I have came across in the paranormal world.
Now, I am not saying clients are nuts, but rather idiots like the fools on the travel channels "MOST HAUNTED" show . You gotta be kidding me right? Grab a night vision camera , run thru a dark building with the camera in your face, let off a few screams for effect and then get a bogus Medium to come in and point out spots where spirits like to "hang out".
These fools obviously hang out at the local pub drinking stale ale and eating old fish and chips before going on their so called "investigations".
It is amazing to me that this show gets ratings. I can only hope it does for its comedy and not that someone out there thinks this is real.
We have a few of those kind of investigators here. I suppose every town has a few wackos. They just seem to run wild in some points of the world.
Apparently the Travel Channel is the specialist in coming up with bogus ghost hunting shows to attract some viewers since their shows on Cruise Ships and Beaches are worn the hell out.
Nuts, Nuts Nuts.
Someone get me a nut cracker for Christmas.

Ghost Adventures

This show is complete and utter bullshit. Not only does it offend the living, it also offends those that have passed on. The "genius" idea the Travel Channel came up with is to get a couple of jocks together, armed with night vision cameras, send them to a haunted location and have them provoke spirits in a lame attempt to get something on tape. It's lame. The host and his cronies seem to still be living in their former high school football days.
Provoking spirits is NEVER recommended by any legit paranormal investigation team. Would you walk into a dentist's office asking the first person you see to hit you? How often do you provoke people in public? Same goes for the spiritual world around you. Sadly, even TAPS has had a few episodes where they provoke spirits, which the general public sees and copies. It's disrespectful to taunt someone that has passed on and this show is practically pissing on their graves. I recommend you stay clear of it and don't give it any ratings....they don't deserve it.

Archbishop James Long

Rick Wood is one of my most favorite interviewers in the world of paranormal radio. Rick has a weekly podcast called Audiomartini He recently interviewed James Long, an exorcist that to me, seems pretty knowledgeable about the subject. I encourage all members and fans of our blog to listen to the interview here (click on the circle next to the word "Podcast"...they need to have a "Play" button!).

Nerds

I noticed this afternoon while driving around that ALL (present company included) paranormal investigators, or people interested in the paranormal, are NERDS! Dorks! Weirdos! Whatever you wanna call it...people interested in "paranormal" matters are (most often) introverted people most would consider dorks. Most people would avoid talking to a person interested in this field at any social engagement. Why is this? On the other side of the coin, most people interested in the paranormal have an "above average" knowledge of the world around them. They think outside the box most of the time. They read books and study when left to their own nerdy little world. Sure, they know little about how to act at dinner parties, but get them alone and they can't SHUT UP when talking! Think about this!! A good piece of evidence to my stated opinion here, is Facebook. Many people join our group via Facebook but we seldom hear from them. When one of us says, "hello" we never get a reception. Now, I'm not making fun of anyone here, before I start stepping on toes. I simply find it funny, and thought inspiring, how shy and quiet people involved in the paranormal are. Is there something deeper in their minds that troubles them? Maybe seeing something beyond the normal can humble a human being? I don't know. If YOU understand all of this psychology and personal behavior please, let me know. (get it? ;) )

Sincerely and humorously,
Michael

Austin is great

Austin turned out to be a wonderful trip. I had a really great time and met some awesome people. They're MUCH more into "paranormal meet ups" than around here. I'll comment more during our meeting. I assume we'll have one this month or early next month. Also, if you're following this blog via blogger checkout our websites!!

Poltergeist

Greetings Team! I'm currently in Austin visiting my brother. Getting out of Amarillo is, as always, an eye opening experience. I have met many people here that are above and beyond your average entrepreneur. And they're all YOUNGER than me?!! Last night in particular I met a young man that told me all about Austin's "paranormal" side. Many of them get together as an entire group (not investigating group) and talk about local haunts and "cases" they have experienced. I don't really have the time to go over all of this, but I'll post more soon. I wanted to let you know that this afternoon I am going to meet with a film crew that is interested in filming and making a television show/documentary similar to the ones we see on TV (I assume). Exciting times!! I'll write more soon. Hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful weekend!!

Take care,
Michael

IN SEARCH OF CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST

IN SEARCH OF CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST?
On October 31, 2008 a local paranormal group held a contest in which winners got to spend the night in a local seldom used dance hall. This group is of no affiliation with us or any professional paranormal group.
These people make a mockery of paranormal investigating when they associate this with local halloween haunted houses run by different organizations. This is nothing short of some people trying to get their pictures in the paper or maybe on tv.
These are they same type of people who think that if they have their photo taken with paranormal television celebrities that they get instant credibility.
What a Joke!
Now supposedly the building they investigate has a rumor of being haunted. But I am sure that they would know since it is one of the only places I have ever heard of them investigating. But seriously, claiming this place to be haunted is like claiming your bathroom toilet to be haunted.
If you think you may have a problem with some kind of paranormal occurance in your home , etc, it would be real scary to happen to get ahold of these people to help you.
This is not the first time these so called investigators have done this on halloween, nor do I imagine it will be the last.
Frankly the whole thing sounds like a freakin carnival attraction. But who knows, maybe they set up enough fishing string, soundtracks and smoke to make it seem like they found Casper the friendly Ghost.

AN ORB IS AN ORB IS AN ORB

As I surf the internet, I come across paranormal websites with many photos of a little thing called an ORB. A round ball of light. It is amazing to me how many people declare this as the presence of paranormal activity or that of a ghost. I have had people send photos to me of the ORB's in their home.
Are there really that many ghosts out there? If so, I wish they would make themselves known in more than a round ball of light. ORB's are usually caused by dust coming up off of a carpet, out of an air conditioning or heating duct, or by a small insect that managed to fly into your viewfinder just as you flashed the camera.
I have personally taken video footage of an ORB that appeared to be coming out of a doorway, across a room, and into a wall. Of course someone walked across the carpet about 20 seconds prior to that event happening. When I ask people if their air conditioning was on when they took the photo or were you walking around when you took the photo, the answer is usually ,, "Well Yes".
(Some folks even send photos of ghosts they took while having a cigarette hanging out of their mouth, but that is a blog for another day)
If there were truly as many ghosts all over the place as the ORB's I have gotten photos of, you would think there would be more documented proof of hauntings. Fact is, an ORB is just dust, bugs, or even rain. Yes, Rain. So the next time you think about sending that special photo of that ORB to a paranormal group and ask them to come investigate your home because of it, think about what you just read and don't do it. Find more evidence other than some simple dust your camera managed to capture. All paranormal groups want to help those in need. Just make sure you're really in need and not falling victim to your cameras trick or treats.

Happy Halloween!!

Happy All Hallows Eve!!! Halloween is FINALLY here...WOOHOO!! This was (and is) one of my most favorite holidays. I would literally count down the days, from October 1st to this glorious day growing up as a kid. Picking out a costume was one of the most complicated and tedious acts I would spend countless hours pursuing. Unfortunately, we decided against a Halloween party this evening but it will still be fun giving out candy to unprofessional little bastards that simply wear a hat and call it a costume...pricks. For the record: I was GOING to go as Heath Ledger's Joker but with a TWIST! I was going to dress as he did in the nurses uniform. Remember that scene? This costume would have been great...do me a favor and see if anyone else takes my idea. You know they'll all go as The Joker...but how many are as smart as me? Any other members have fond memories of this wonderful holiday?

Stephenville Sightings...AGAIN!

Stephenville, TX saw more UFO's fly over this past weekend. This time they caught it on tape. In summary, lights were seen and jets were scrambled shortly after. This is the second time this year they have seen UFO's fly over their town at night. Fascinating but in my opinion, it seems more like a military training program. I don't know...think for yourself, question authority as a wise man once said ;)

Edit: Here's some links. And here.

UFO's

As all of you know, UFO's are my favorite of all the paranormal topics. I came across this just a few minutes ago while killing time before going to bed. What if it's true? The man being interviewed mentions a book by the late Corso which I believe, made up most of his story (good read but sorta falls apart the deeper you go). So maybe all that he says could be based on his own opinion and not actual fact. But does it make sense that we would prepare for a war against beings that are not from here? Why do "they" most often show up during times of war? Interesting thoughts...
